Meet Andrea Horbrook-Walton, LCPC/LMHC
Andrea Horbrook-Walton founded Courageous Spaces after her son was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). For Andrea, parenting became a battle enduring stressful days and tearful nights, only to receive limited resources that focused on the parents’ experience raising a neurodiverse child. After battling depression, guilt, failure and feelings of hopelessness, Andrea decided to change the narrative of her experience from victim to victor, thus creating Courageous Spaces. Andrea wants you to know that you are not alone! During your counseling session with Andrea, you will work collaboratively to address your mental and emotional health needs utilizing practical evidence-based strategies. In every session Andrea seeks to provide personalized care cultivated through a safe and affirming space to be seen, heard, and valued without stigma, shame, and guilt. Andrea is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Indiana. She has been in the field of mental health for over 7 years and has experience counseling a range of populations in a variety of settings. LIFE MANTRA: When life starts “life’n”.. take time for you!
